When is Anafranil prescribed?

Anafranil is a tricyclic antidepressant and as such it is prescribed in treating numerous mental and mood disorders. It affects the functioning of certain chemicals in the brain serotonin and norepinephrine, whose increased activity can bring relief in many different cases.

The primary use of v is in treatment and management of obsessive compulsive disorder, or OCD for short. This anxiety disorder is characterized by certain intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors that are designed to provide relief from those intrusive thoughts. For example, if you have suffered a heart attack recently, or if you have used MAO inhibitors in the last 14 days, you will be unable to take Anafranil. V can also affect other conditions, such as heart diseases, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, liver and kidney diseases, hyperthyroidism, adrenal gland tumor, glaucoma and issues with urination. In these cases, your doctor will want you to undergo some further tests and to come in for regular checkups to see if your Anafranil treatment is affecting your health in a detrimental way. It is of paramount importance that you follow the instructions to the letter as any self-initiated changes in dosage; schedule and the duration of the treatment can only harm your health and worsen the condition for which you are taking Anafranil. In some cases, it takes Anafranil some time before it starts having beneficial effects. For example, if used to treat OCD, Anafranil takes as much as two months or even more before it starts working to its full effect. Some side effects of v can impair your reactions and your thinking. If you experience these side effects, make sure that they are gone before you participate in any dangerous activities, like for example driving or operating machinery.
